25.6x39.4 in ~ Painting, Acrylic, Oil
This oil and acrylic painting was entirely made with a knife on a wooden support prepared for more luminosity. The finish is matte. The technique of painting with a knife is specific: the knife allows you to spread the thick paint and work the work by impasto. It replaces the brush or the paintbrush. The painting knives have a thin and flexible blade, with various shapes: straight, rounded, bevelled, trowel-shaped. It is necessary to work the impasto of paint by compressing the paint against the support. The knife achieves flat surfaces and raised contour lines that bring the painting to life.
