This oil and acrylic painting was entirely done with a knife on a French wooden support which reflects the light.
The knife painting technique is
specific: the knife allows you to spread the thick paint and work on the work using impasto. It replaces the brush or brush.
Painting knives have a thin and flexible blade, with various shapes: straight, rounded, beveled, trowel-shaped.
You have to work on impasto paint by compressing the paint against the support. The knife produces flat surfaces and raised contour lines that bring the painting to life.
